At its public meeting this Tuesday (7/24), the Board of ANEEL (the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency) decided to open a public hearing to assess, together with society, the possibility of hydroelectric generators changing the product contracted in the renegotiation of hydrological risk under Normative Resolution 684/2015, in order to adjust their coverage of hydrological risk.
Resolution 684/2015 established the approval criteria and other conditions for the renegotiation of the hydrological risk of hydroelectric generation by hydroelectric generators participating in the Energy Reallocation Mechanism (MRE), as provided for in Law 13,203/2015.
