Walter José Senise

With an extensive career in Environmental Law, Walter graduated in Law from PUC/SP (1990) and has built a career marked by solid technical and institutional work. He began his professional experience at environmental technical consulting firms and at the São Paulo State Department of the Environment (SMA) and CETESB, developing a strong practical foundation in environmental matters.

From the 2000s onwards, he joined specialized Environmental Law teams at large, highly reputable law firms, contributing his expertise to strategic and complex cases. In 2015, he started a new professional project that led to the founding of Senise Paiva Advogados in 2018, a firm dedicated to environmental legal services with strong integration between advisory work, litigation and the management of legal and reputational risks.

His practice stands out particularly in Environmental Advisory and Corporate Environmental Management, with a multidisciplinary approach geared to the business realities of companies in a wide range of sectors. Walter has extensive experience working with legal, technical and operational teams, building solutions that go beyond responding to administrative and judicial proceedings.

In academia, he holds a Master’s in Environmental Law from PUC/SP (2009) and has taught undergraduate courses focused on Environmental Law and Management. He also gives lectures and technical training and is the author of articles on applied environmental law. In his pro bono work, he sits on the boards of NGOs dedicated to environmental education and scientific research, reaffirming his commitment to building a positive and integrated socio-environmental agenda.
