Diogo de Mello Paiva Ferreira

A graduate of Mackenzie Law School in São Paulo (2005), Diogo holds a specialization in Environmental Law and Strategic Sustainability Management from PUC/SP (2009) and a specialization in Environmental Management from the São Paulo State Environmental Company – CETESB (2018).

Diogo combines specialized legal knowledge with in-depth technical analysis, offering an integrated approach that goes beyond traditional advisory work. This expertise enables him to develop efficient strategies to resolve complex environmental problems, reducing existing environmental liabilities and preventing future ones.

His practice covers environmental, real estate and mining matters, with solid experience in legal audits, strategic advice on environmental management, environmental licensing processes, and judicial and administrative litigation, including civil inquiries and judicial and administrative defenses. He also has expertise in the acquisition of rural properties, land title regularization and the development of impact-driven environmental businesses.

He focuses particularly on agribusiness, sanitation, solid waste, ESG, climate change and the structuring of sustainable businesses, serving clients from every economic sector in Brazil. Beyond the legal issues, the medium- and long-term outcome of his practice is a reduction in environmental liabilities with a significant economic impact on companies’ balance sheets.
